Bloody Nose

Today Lynzi had a bloody nose that wouldn't stop. I thought it was blog worthy.

Easter Egg Hunt/Family Home Evening

Yesterday we had our Montgomery family home evening. We had a Easter Egg Hunt at the park by Marcus and Jessica's house. It was fun to see all the little one find the eggs. We had a good brunch and good visit. The only complaint I had was that it was CHILLY!

After the egg hunt we had the Young Woman Broadcast Dinner at the Stake Center. I wish I had a picture of the cute centerpieces that Willow made...she is very talented. I loved the talks at the broadcast. Dieter Uchtdorf's talk was my favorite he talked about how to get your own happily ever after.

I also liked Elaine Dalton's talk on "Deep Beauty". I was able to have Lynzi and Karlee at the broadcast with me. Allyson went to the conference center with a friend to see it live. Brian came over and cleaned up the Stake Center while we were listening to the broadcast. He is a great guy and that was very much appreciated!!!

Good Friends

Today I got to spend the day with Heidi Hansen and celebrate her birthday. We went to Costa Vida for lunch and then to the movie bounty hunters. It is nice to have a good friend that I can talk to and do fun things with. Happy Birthday Heidi!
P.S. I know that Heidi would love this picture...this is to get back at putting the trek picture in of me!

What a stinker!

Parmesan Cheese, Saltine Crackers, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Hand Sanitizer, Paper clips, pennies, nickels, dimes, salt, pepper, candy bars, pieces of rice...
what do all these things have in common?
These are all things that Dr. Call puts in my ice water at work. He is such a stinker!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This week it was St. Patrick's Day. I always think of my Grandma Montgomery on St. Patrick's day because it is her birthday. She was such a good grandma. I remember her homemade rose lotion, her quilts that she made all of us, chow mein noodle treats, and her heater at her house that I always sat on. We would go down and visit her on her birthday. I would pinch her if she wasn't wearing green. I was lucky to have such a good grandma.

World Mark

We stayed in the condo that we bought into years ago. This was a very good purchase. Everytime we stay in them we are happy that we bought it. They are always in a nice area and the place is well kept. My favorite thing is the washer and dryer in them so I can do the laundry before we go home and not have a lot of work to do after vacation. I know I'm kind of crazy.
Heather, Cierra, Lauren and her sister Hilary came over to sit in the hot tub and the Hayley and her fiance Josh came and we played 5 crowns. Good times.

shopping spree

While Brian was in meetings all day I went shopping. I love to shop in St. George! I have my stops that I always have to make. Here are just a few of them.

BLUE SKIES...GREEN GRASS. WARM TEMP...=SUNNY ST. GEORGE

Brian and I went down to St. George this past week. It was heavenly weather wise. We just sat out on the deck and soaked in the sun. It was so nice to walk on green grass and hear the birds and feel warm. I definitely have spring fever.

Today is the Prom. We have had a stressful lead up to the promm for Karlee and are just excited to get this day over. She is such a pretty girl...we had to get her dad with the gun because he truly did have his gun out. CRAZY.
Ally was having a great time with Russ, he is funny and a good friend. We have pretty girls if I do say so myself!

Craft Room Organization

I'm moving my organization to the dreaded craft room. I have made it through the main part of the room and just have the closet yet. I can't believe how much stuff I have!! I need to start using all this junk. I guess Brian does have a point!

It takes a long time to make 250 invitations!!!

Good Book

Maxine gave me this book to read and I couldn't put it down. It is definitely a book I would recommend!

Florida

After we got off the ship we went to Fort Lauderdale and had a day before our flight home. We decided to walk 4 miles to the beach and play for a while. It was cold but we had fun building sand castles and searching for sea shells.
We then went back to the hotel and played cards and watched the Olympics before we woke up at 4:00 am Florida time (2:00 am Utah time) and got on a plane and flew to Texas and then home to Utah. It is great to be home sweet home!!!

Good Family Time

We are so glad that we took our kids on a cruise. It was great to be able to spend a whole week with them. No distractions, no phones, no homework, no friends. We have so much fun as a family and I am thankful for such good kids!

Vacation fun...more time on the ship.

Belize

We went to the ruins in Belize. It was very interesting. Our guide was LDS he brought a little bit of the church into the presentation. I wonder what group of people were living there? It was a good day.

Cozumel

We went to a place called Xcaret and we went swimming in underground caves...saw the dolphins and turtles and had a great day. We truly could have spent a week in Cozumel it is beautiful.

The Rock Climbing Wall. We all had so much fun with this... I got a little stuck up at the top but after some help from the guy I made it to the top.

We were on the 8th deck. The kids were in room 8653 and we were in 8687. We were at the very back of the ship and the kids were more in the middle of the ship. We each had a steward that took care of our rooms. They would leave towels folded into shapes of animals in our rooms.

We had two waiters...the head waiter was Piotr (Peter) and his assistant waiter was Severiano. Piotr was from Poland and Severiano was from the Philipines. They work for 6-8 months at a time and then have 2 months off. They work from sun-up until way beyond sun down. I would not like to have that job but this is how they provide for their families.

I would say that Piotr and Severiano were my favorite part of the cruise. They made dinnertime fun and served us like I have never been served. The kids didn't like the fancy food all the time and even ordered Peanut Butter and jelly sandwiches but they liked to visit with our waiters because they were so kind.

NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS

I was amazed at the size of the ship. We asked our waiter how many people were on the ship and he said 3,100 passengers and 1,200 crew. It had 14 decks, 3 pools, an ice skating rink, movie theatre, an auditorium for the nightly shows, 3 large dining rooms and 1 cafeteria style dining room. A rock climbing wall, a miniature golf course, a roller skating rink, an arcade, a room for the teen-agers, a room for kids, some game rooms, a ton of bars, a casino, 4 restaurants, a mall area, and I could go on and on and on. I really couldn't believe that this was a boat. You would have to see it to believe it.

Sunday morning we packed all of our bags into the truck...we headed to the airport. On our way Maxine called and said that our flight was cancelled due to problems with the plane in Denver. This is what started the beginning of a long day. Frontier Airlines could get us into Florida by 200 on Monday but we had no idea if that flight would be cancelled or delayed or if our shuttle from Fort Lauderdale could get us to the ship in time so we spent an extra $2,500 to fly on Jet Blue to California and then all night to Fort Lauderdale. We made it to Florida at 5:00 in the morning and were all so tired. Maxine had a case of the shingles so we got Bo to call a Rx to a pharmacy in Utah...we took a taxi to a Walgreens in Florida and camped out like a bunch of Hobos (Ally's dream) in front of Walgreens to wait for the Utah Pharmacy to open so she could get her Rx. When we finally got that taken care of our shuttle driver came and picked us up and took us to the cruise ship. We were so happy to finally be there. Allyson practically passed out and took a long nap in her bed. Now the fun times truly began!

Simplot Games

On Saturday we took Karlee up to Pocatello to run in the Simplot games. She ran the mile and even though she didn't feel real good she took 8th place. After her race we hurried home to make it to the evening session of Stake Conference. Elder Maynes of the Seventy spoke and gave a really good lesson. I was having a hard time sitting for so long between the drive to and from Pocatello and then a 3 hour meeting, my fanny was tired!!!
We got home and packed for our cruise. Fun times ahead.
